I had a deja vu moment. Yesterday I was able to smell in the air that rain was coming, and sure enough its raining tonight. This time last year we had a freak rain storm on Valentine's Day, I was able to smell it the day before. The meteorologists were all saying they didn't see it coming. But I smelled it, so how can that be?
So I also remembered a major event happened at the same time. We had a pre-deployment meeting the night that I was able to smell the coming rain, so I was stressed. It was also the same week that I found out I was pregnant. I went into work at Babies R Us feeling quite sick from stress and morning sickness, I asked to go home just a couple hours early. The assistant manager on shift said "Let me do this stuff and I'll get back to you." She did, half an hour later. She was going to let me go, but made it clear she didn't want to. Said that I had to "deal with it", and basically chewed me out for getting pregnant when Rich would be going on deployment in a few months. I was so sick and tired I was having difficulty concentrating, and I was working the friggin' cash register! Me and Rich had already discussed that I would be able to quit soon. And after that happened we both knew it was time to put in my notice. The following Monday I put it in for 3 weeks away. Two of those 3 weeks I didn't have to work with the bitch because she took some time off to deal with some personal stuff. She was more pleasant to work with when she came back, but I still knew it was time to go.
Its amazing how some things can happen, and we just know its time for a change.
I'm so grateful for the loves of my life. My wonderful husband, Rich, and my beautiful daughter, Olivia.
