Wow. Olivia is 9 months old today. At this time 9 months ago, I was still in L&D waiting to be moved to MIU, I couldn't feel my legs yet from the epidural, well, my left leg anyway, and I was finally getting something to eat after not having eaten anything solid for about 24 hours. A few hours later I was in MIU and going to sleep. That was a rough day, but it was so worth it to hold my beautiful baby girl in my arms finally. I loved that I could cuddle and hold her without her wiggling all over the place. I still love to hold and cuddle her, but she loves to wiggle. She's getting to the point more though that she likes to cuddle for a minute or two at a time. More if I get her right when she's woken up from her nap. She's my precious girl, and I love her so much.
The other night we got KFC/A&W for dinner, I had the KFC and Rich had A&W, and Livvy was coming over trying to grab it. So I gave her a little piece of my biscuit, and she really liked it, so I gave her a little more. When I gave her a taste of potatoes she made a face and just shoved them out of her mouth with her tongue.
ETA: At the checkup the next day, Livvy weighed in at just over 17 lbs, which actually put her back down into the 25th percentile. Doctor wasn't worried about that since she's obviously very active, she's burning a lot of calories. Her height was 27 1/2 inches, which was right on the 50th percentile, and her head also measured on the 50th. She can now stand for several seconds on her own. The longest I've actually seen is about 10 seconds, and she was holding her brush.

10 years...
My high school 10 year reunion is coming up. Its amazing. I went into home schooling long before that though, but I did do seminary and Driver's Ed. I later got my GED. I consider myself Class of '99, because I did get my GED, and I would've been part of it all if I hadn't been home schooled. If I were in Utah, I might consider going to the informal picnic part, but that's about it.
10 years ago in August was the freak tornado in Salt Lake. I also had my gall bladder removed just a few days before that. I remember I was in bed still recovering, I was online and people were talking about it. I didn't even know it had happened till shortly after because I didn't have the TV on.
I"m definitely not the same person I was back then (Good thing!). I was shy, skinny, quiet, and timid. I've grown a lot. Just a couple months after my surgery I got my job at the Davis County Library- South Branch. I loved that job. I transferred around a bit, and eventually ended up at Centerville when they opened. That's where I was when I quit to move to San Diego. I was 2 months shy of working at the library for 8 years. Even a couple of years can make a difference on where we're at, who we are, and what we're doing. And 10 years, well, that should make a big difference.

Ready to crack
The last few days have been unusual for me. When Livvy is happy, I'm perfectly fine. The minute she makes a whiny noise I just want to cover my ears and run away. Its been driving me nuts. She'll whine because I'm not feeding her fast enough, or something! Every little thing will get under my skin. Its annoying, and I hate it. I'm not used to feeling like this. I hear from friends that its normal to feel like this as a mommy. At least Rich has been helping a little with dinner the last couple of nights. I think he'd take me out, if we had the money. I'm thinking I'll see if my friend Tammy can watch Livvy tomorrow night and we go to the Base theater for a free movie, or have Tammy take Livvy on Saturday while Rich has duty and I either go to the theater, or just have some time alone. In exchange, I'll watch her son Ryder next week. Hmmmmm, its a good thought. I think I need it. Rich even asked tonight if I need a day off. Boy, wouldn't that be nice!

2nd tooth/Poor baby
Well, I noticed this morning that Livvy's 2nd tooth has come in. No wonder she'd been a pill the last few days. She is chomping down on things a lot more too.
Today I don't know why, but she didn't seem to be feeling very good. She napped alright, but she had more soiled diapers than usual. And this evening she was asleep and I went to check on her and noticed it smelled awful in her room. So I woke her up as I was planning- I do that if she goes to sleep so early, so that she can play for awhile and go back to bed, then she's not up at 3 am. When I picked her up I noticed vomit-y stuff in her hair, and on her sleepy time blanket. So I gave her a bath, washed her blanket, had Rich change the sheets, let her play for awhile, and fed her some applesauce. While she was playing she was farting, and it stunk! Something I fed her must not have agreed with her. She seems to be doing ok. When I took her sleepy time blanket to her once it was washed, she was already in bed, she sat up and held out her arms and took it, then laid back down and snuggled it. She is such a little sweetie. When I get her from her crib in the morning, or after a nap, she always gives me a big smile. I absolutely love it. I love being a mom, even when its tough.
