Since its been over a month since my last posting, I figure its time. I'm probably going to miss something though.
The funnest part has been Olivia, of course. The day after Thanksgiving Rich was holding her, and I came into the room. She lunged toward me and said "Mama". So that was the first time she actually called me mama. She doesn't do it often yet, but I know its a matter of time. She just loves to make all sorts of noises. She is getting so much better at walking. If we're not in a hurry when we go places, we let her walk to the car when we leave the house. If its just me and her, I also let her walk to the house from the car. She loves all the stuffed animals in the house, and will even carry them around. Even when we go out!
We are finally over all the sickness in the house. Olivia sort of got a cough and snotty nose, but seems to be doing better with that already. I noticed that she's got molars coming in already. So she actually chews her food more. She grabs handfuls and stuffs it in, and pushes it into her cheeks. She looks like a little chipmunk when she does that.
Last week I had to make 7 dozen cookies! Yes, for a cookie exchange. I made butter cookies, and cake mix cookies. I didn't have enough ingredients to do a double batch for either one, but enough for a single batch of each. I came home with sooooo many cookies/treats, we've still got some.
Also last week, we had a chance to meet Elmo. There was a special event presented by KPBS. My Military Mom's group was invited. Olivia loves Elmo, so of course I decided to take her. We got our picture taken with Elmo (they had Kevin Clash actually there to be Elmo) and 3 of the San Diego Chargers. I'm still waiting for it to show up in my email.
I also went to the doctor last week. (What a fun week with everything going on, and Rich was out to sea). I'd started having problems with some blood during bowel movements a few days before. I will say this now to clarify, WITH not IN. Turns out that I had an internal hemorrhoid. So I got some stuff for it, and haven't had a problem since. Thank heaven!
Rich will have duty on Christmas day, but fortunately won't have to go in until like 1100 or 1200. So we will have the morning together. He also has duty today.
I know there's been other stuff, but I can't remember it all. As of right now, Olivia is in her crib, playing, and having a blast. She loves to stuff her animals between the wall and the crib, or at the top of the crib bars, or drop them out of her crib in a pile.
