Tonight Olivia is sleeping in her crib in her own room for the very first time. I think she'll do fine. During our trip to Utah for Thanksgiving she slept in a pack-n-play, and in a separate room from us. our lodgings had consisted of a living room/kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom of course. The size of the bedroom was small and there was no room for her. So she slept in the living room area. I did ok then myself, so I think I'll be fine with her in her own room, maybe even sleep better. I've got a good monitor with lights as well as the sound.
She now weighs around 14 lbs. Hopefully she's not overweight for her age and length (no clue how long she is). She's getting big, and is fitting into some of the 3-6 month clothes. Just depends on the style, and brand, etc. I know when she starts crawling and such that she won't gain weight so fast. Probably slim down a little. She tries to sit up on her own, and can for a little bit at a time. She hasn't been sick yet, probably from breastfeeding. We're not breastfeeding a whole lot now, she has mostly formula, which probably accounts for her weight gain, but she still gets some of the breast milk because I pump. She's a cutie!
Hey! I was going to email you, but decided to just leave a comment about it. About that Navy poem, I can't tell why reading it makes me get all choked up... I am afraid that's it fear, that deep down inside of me I am scared. I am SO excited, and usually am nothing but positive about it... but I can't think of any other reason that the tears were coming out, and the lump in my throat made me sound like a frog. :( Really... I know I sound like such a weirdo, but I had to share. :) I do have a question for you too, do you know anything about the Navy Police? MA (I think that's what rating it is.)
